Applied ICCP System

The Concrete Corrosion Tech Ltd. was commissioned on May 1st, 2020 by Coventry City Council to install a trial of an ICCP system on the crossbeam of the Ringway Whitefriars section in Coventry, England. As per the information received by the Coventry City Council, UK, the section of ring road was part of a 3.6km long reinforced concrete structure built in 1974. The drainage and joints for the carriageway above had failed to carry water away from the structure, leading to leakage of salt-laden water and subsequent corrosion in the crossbeam.

Thus, an impressed current cathodic protection system was designed using Concrete CAP anode and commissioned on October 1st, 2020. The system has since been monitored by Concrete Corrosion Tech Ltd. for its performance.
